One of the reasons that farmers buy these seeds is because they can spray for weeds while these GM plants are in the fields. The plants live through the poisonous weed spraying, while the weeds die. 

The vid above describes how farmers are finding that after ten years of growing GM soybeans, that the benefits no longer outweigh the negatives. Super weeds are developing, and ordinary weeds are developing a genetic resistance, so the poison sprays sold by this company no longer work. 

Now illegal poisons must be used along with this patented system, in order to combat the super weeds. In addition to that, instead of using just 1 part weed killer to 1 part seeds, now the dosage of the weed killer required to even work at all has gone up TEN FOLD, thus increasing costs. 

Neighbors next to farmers growing GM seeds complain that they are having negative health effects from the poison fumes, and that their animals are dying if they go into the fields and eat the plants. 

Finally, in cases where farmers want to switch back to ordinary seeds and get away from these GM seeds and poison combination, they find that they can no longer do so. The market has shifted so far, that ordinary seeds are no longer available. Farmers that have switched are trapped into growing something that they no longer want to grow.

Margaret Miller

In order for the FDA to determine if Monsanto’s growth hormones were safe or not, Monsanto was required to submit a scientific report on that topic. Margaret Miller, one of Monsanto’s researchers put the report together. Shortly before the report submission, Miller left Monsanto and was hired by the FDA. Her first job for the FDA was to determine whether or not to approve the report she wrote for Monsanto. In short, Monsanto approved it’s own report. 

Susan Sechen

Assisting Miller with approving Monsanto seeds was another former Monsanto researcher, Susan Sechen. 

Michael Taylor

Deciding whether or not rBGH-derived milk should be labeled fell under the jurisdiction of another FDA official, Michael Taylor, who previously worked as a lawyer for Monsanto.
