This plant is designed to do multiple toxic and dangerous things, not just one. This multi-function and multi-use exponentially multiplies the danger and radioactive emissions from this plant into water, air, ground and ocean. What emissions? Every reprocessing plant has HUGE radiation emissions, which total the TMI accident EACH YEAR.

The following is a picture of the radiation going into the ocean from the two radiation emitting reprocessing plants in France and the UK through pipes like the one shown above. 

The green color is the land, red is high radiation and orange/yellow less radiation diluting down to light blue. Of course, any fish swimming in this will absorb the radiation, as will humans. All of this moves up the food chain to humans. The same thing happens in the air, if you can imagine this, but of course, all of this is invisible and is never reported on in the mass media.

There are only a few reprocessing plants like  Rokkasho around the world. Another one like this one is located in France. A spent fuel reprocessing plant emits as much radioactivity per YEAR as the TMI accident did in total.

If the nuclear industry ever learns how to quit taking the profits and running, and then leaving the toxic waste disaster behind for the public to clean up, while poisoning millions of people and contaminating thousands of square miles of ocean and air/ground, maybe this could be a viable industry. 

Wouldn’t you agree, that nothing good for seven future generations will be happening around nuclear power plant fuel reprocessing locations, anywhere in the world? So if this plant keeps operating, we predict that it will go the same route as all of the other reprocessing centers outlined in this article, or MUCH worse, because MOX (plutonium) fuel is involved.

This plant is also producing MOX fuel for future reactors, and Japan is stockpiling plutonium to be used in future reactors as well as for nuclear bombs, contrary to all international conventions, treaties and laws. MOX fuel is much more dangerous than just plain uranium based fuel. Why? Here is an example of what can happen if MOX fuel gets into wide spread use in nuclear power plants worldwide; 

MOX fuel and human beings do not mix very well. Plutonium is 2 billion times more toxic than cyanide.

By now, you will have a better appreciation of the dangers posed by this ONE plant. Hopefully you will also have some idea about how dangerous the whole nuclear industry is to all living things on this planet, and why the whole industry needs to be abolished and shut down.
