After Fukushima, the entire air column globally has been contaminated with radiation from Fukushima, just the same way as it was after Chernobyl and after 2,400 nuclear bomb tests. Higher radiation levels are always found downwind of a nuclear accident or explosion or test. Reports continue to come in about pilots and flight attendants having health problems such as nausea, nose bleeds, passing out, hair falling out, skin rashes and illnesses that are hard to explain, plus not feeling well generally. Recently, two co-pilots lost consciousness while flying, and they were not drinking.
So what can you do? If you do fly, take your Geiger Counter. You have no idea where the ‘hot spots’ of radiation are. As we learned from Chernobyl, TMI, and Fukushima, high levels of radiation are possible as far as thousands of miles away from the source of the accidental radiation release. This can happen due to rain, downdrafts, or other random causes. Anyone saying that radiation ‘dilutes’ and is harmless far away from an accident does not know much, or is a pro nuclear apologist.
If you do not have a Geiger Counter, you may end up staying in a hot spot of radiation and get exposed needlessly to high levels of radiation. If you do have a Geiger Counter, you can quickly leave that area and not be exposed to as much radiation. Remember, even deadly radiation levels that can kill a person are completely invisible and undetectable, unless a person has a Geiger Counter.
Remember that children, infants and fetuses are thousands of times MORE sensitive to the same radiation exposure as adults, so make sure you protect your children, even if you do not care about your own radiation exposure.

In the video above, Arnie Gunderson talks about finding high levels of radiation in the compressors of jet aircraft. Mechanics working on the planes reported high radiation levels being found in the filters for the air going into the cabin where passengers and crew sit. Several planes landed that were found to be contaminated with radiation on the ground.
Assuming all of the above is true, (and that hot particles Arnie is an expert on) are still floating around at high altitude, it makes sense that pilots, who spend the most amount of time at high altitudes, would be the first to show symptoms of radiation contamination.
