Brandon Hall, only 27 years old, was charged with forging petition signatures for a Republican judicial candidate in 2012 and has now been convicted on 10 out of 10 counts of felony election fraud. He could be facing up to five years in prison. It took the jury less than an hour to return a verdict.
“Donald Trump has made claim after claim calling the integrity of the election into question, but his Michigan campaign had no problem hiring a staff member facing election law charges,” said Progress Michigan executive director Lonnie Scott in a public statement. “The fact that the Trump campaign and the Michigan Republican Party embraced Brandon Hall is just one more reason to recount and audit the vote in Michigan.”
