California restaurant owner blames ‘war on whites’ after customers flee over his David Duke donation

California restaurant owner shut down his business after his campaign contribution to former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke was revealed.

Election records show Roger Grigsby, of Santa Cruz, gave $500 to Duke’s unsuccessful U.S. Senate run last year in Louisiana, reported the San Francisco Bay Area Independent Media Center.

After a white supremacist rally in Virginia left a counter-protester dead, the newspaper scoured election records and found eight Bay Area residents who’d given money to Duke — including Grigsby.

Readers called for a boycott of O’Mei, the Chinese restaurant Grigsby has operated for 38 years, and he then decided to shut down.
