Parents, along with Evans help, have approached the Wayne County Board of Education with a petition of more than 1,600 signatures requesting that Wallace be fired.
The U.S. Department of Education has also received complaints following the incident.
The main concern is that a school employee shared the students’ private medical records in a public forum.
The Board is looking into the incident.
“This was just the straw that broke the camels back,” Evans went on and said.
“According to the last census in 2010, Tolsia has just under 2,500 people and we’ve got over 1,700 signatures. Fifteen-hundred of those came within the first 24 hours so I think that speaks volumes and tells you our community is speaking up and telling you very loud and clear that we want a change,” Evans added.
