Republicans Have Purged Ten Percent of All U.S. Voters

Voter suppression isn’t happening by accident, this is the only way the Republican Party can win, suppress the vote. Their policies are not helping the poor like how 45 promised that they would and the middle class is not growing. The low unemployment rate does not take into account the millions working multiple jobs to get by, part-time workers, or those that have left the job market completely. The unemployment rate is masking the poverty and income inequality in America. The “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” aka the Tax Scam only helped the super-rich and multinational corporations. In fact, workers who are receiving a little bump ($5 in most cases) in their paychecks will likely see pay decreases as the economy begins to slow down due to the Republican Party putting trillions on the national credit card. Yet, they want to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security to make up for their highway robbery of taxpayers.

So, when the Republicans realized that they can’t run on their record they decided to ramp up the effort to shrink the voting poll to win. 14 million people have been kicked off of the voting rolls since 2017. That’s nearly 10% of all registered voters in the United States of America. That’s in combination with gerrymandering and the effort to not process new voter registrations like what’s happening in Georgia and Texas. People of color, young voters, and the elderly are being kicked off the voter rolls at a record pace. If you have an ethnic sounding last name, live in a democratic town or district then you need to check your registration status right now to make sure that you are still on the rolls.
