Fox News screams ‘CHRISTMAS UNDER SIEGE’ about church nativity scene featuring infant Jesus in cage
State-propaganda station Fox News criticized Donald Trump’s ongoing family-separation crisis at the southern border this week, with hosts Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham saying that—oh, wait, sorry, Hannity and Ingraham were actually criticizing criticism of the administration’s ongoing family-separation crisis, both apparently having a fit over a Massachusetts church’s nativity display featuring the infant Jesus in a cage.
“After promoting the segment with a tweet warning ‘CHRISTMAS IS UNDER SIEGE,’ Hannity cautioned viewers that ‘you probably don’t want your kids to watch this’ before showing footage of the doll of baby Jesus,” ThinkProgress reports. St. Susanna Parish’s display also features the three wise men separated from the Holy Family by a fence, while a sign reading “Peace on Earth?” hangs overhead.
Nothing in the display is false. The Trump administration stole children from parents and threw them in cages, a fact verified by members of Congress. Some kids are still separated. The administration is also violating the rights of asylum seekers by blocking them from presenting themselves at the border, leaving them stranded in Mexico. That is all fact.
