DHS Warns EMP Attack Could Take Down America’s Power For 6 Months
A new Department of Homeland Security report says that most Americans are drastically underprepared for threats against our nation’s power infrastructure. Officials, via the report, are warning Americans to make preparations for up to six months without electricity, water, food, and even healthcare.
DHS officials responsible for the new report say that our power grid is now considered a “prime target” for international terrorist groups.
“People no longer keep enough essentials within their homes, reducing their ability to sustain themselves during an extended, prolonged outage. We need to improve individual preparedness.” The report, which is titled “Surviving a Catastrophic Power Outage,” states.
