That’s according to an estimate from Standard & Poor’s. The financial services company said the shutdown, which ended with a deal late Wednesday night after 16 days, took $24 billion out of the U.S. economy, and reduced projected fourth-quarter GDP growth from 3 percent to 2.4 percent.

Government was shut down 3 times, over last 2 years by Republicans despite having total control of all FOUR branches of government.. Estimated cost for each shut down was 24 BILLION, which equals close to 100 BILLION cost to taxpayers that Republicans imposed on US citizens, just ‘because’, they don’t know how to govern.
