4 New Electric Cars With Long Range Coming To US Showrooms In 2019 | CleanTechnica
7 years after the Tesla Model S first went on sale, American drivers in all 50 states still have precious few battery electric automobiles with more than 200 miles of range to choose from. That will change in 2019 as new models from Jaguar, Audi, Hyundai, and Kia find their way into US showrooms.
Meanwhile, the Big 3 US car makers are reportedly getting out of passenger cars entirely. A Ford salesperson told AGR that Ford is going to quit making all passenger cars after 2019. GM, Chrysler and Chevrolet are getting out of the passenger car market and they have announced the closing of multiple factories in the USA.
This should be very good news to Tesla, leaving it as the only US passenger car maker on US soil, and the largest seller of all electric vehicles.
