Michigan Doctor Farid Fata who misdiagnosed cancer patients to be sentenced | Daily Mail Online
A Michigan oncologist who misdiagnosed patients with cancer and made them have unnecessary treatments so he could cash in, will face them at his sentencing hearing this week.
Dr Farid Fata put people through unnecessary treatments, telling many they had cancer when they didn’t, then billed insurers for millions of dollars.
Federal prosecutors are seeking a 175-year sentence for Fata, who pleaded guilty to 16 charges, including fraud money laundering and conspiracy in September last year for needless treatments at seven clinics in eastern Michigan.
