Most of your neighbors, the mass media and most of the education system teaches children and young adults that the name of the game is being like everyone else. In addition, everyone needs to listen and obey all authority figures, without question. And of course, all of the attention and focus of the mass media is to maintain the status quo and not allow any changes.
There is a high price to pay for being ‘normal’, maintaining the status quo and never changing, like everyone else.
The world and schools teach that everyone needs to worship and/or follow someone, somewhere, either alive or dead. Thinking and acting for yourself is considered ‘not normal’. Being your own hero is not acceptable, nor normal. But is that the truth? What is wrong with the hero’s journey? Who is telling everyone that being on this journey is a ‘bad’ thing, and why are they saying this?
