Low river levels to affect French nuclear power generation from August 8: EDF – Reuters
The utility has been forced to cut output and halt production at several reactors this summer due to two spells of heatwave and prolonged dry weather that has reduced river levels.
So much for their promise of reliable base load power supply. Nuclear is the most expensive, toxic energy source. These plants are fickle and need a backup power supply just in normal summer weather, with no storms at all.
Why not just go with solar power plants? They do better the more sun there is.
