Coronavirus: ventilator parts maker says ‘nothing happened’ for weeks after he offered to help Government | inews
A medical equipment manufacturer has criticised the slow pace of the Government’s attempts to increase the supply of ventilators, saying it should be relying on upscaling current manufacturing rather than turning to groups of well-known engineering firms to produce new models.
Andrew Raynor, managing director of MEC Medical, said that he had been contacted by officials some weeks ago and was asked to fill in information about the equipment he could supply, but said he “did and just didn’t hear anything.”
“The turning time, for my parts alone, is weeks. I can’t see it being feasible. They should be putting their efforts into existing manufacturers of ventilators and trying to upscale their production.”
Just wondering if Trump is starting up these ‘new’ ventilator companies, or some of his close pals, such as Kushner?
