Pet owners are being urged not to put face masks on their cats and dogs to protect them from coronavirus as they could kill them.
….According to Dr Melissa Meehan, a vet based in Melbourne, Australia, it can cause stress and anxiety for cats and dogs and in the worst scenario they could die. She told Yahoo News : “As a vet I am constantly treating dogs and cats that suffer from stress and anxiety, which impacts on their health and mental well being and also causing behavioural issues. “Putting a mask on a dog or cat can absolutely cause distress.”Pet owners warned that putting a face mask on their cats and dogs could kill them – World News – Mirror Online
Dogs and cats suffer anxiety and stress due to masks just like humans do. Stress and anxiety alone can cause diseases, heart problems and excess deaths in both people and pets.
A recent video in Japan showed a construction crew working in 120 degree heat. They tested every worker on the crew before the heat hit with a high tech device that measures stress and potential for heat stroke. All of the crew were in danger free zone as far as stress and heat stroke was concerned, before the hottest part of the day.
After it got really hot, the mask wearer was doing the absolute worst out of the whole crew, and needed to ditch the mask, or suffer heat stroke. Why isn’t this kind of high tech testing being done in the USA, comparing those wearing masks and those not wearing a mask in high heat?
Why would masks be ‘good’ for humans, but ‘bad’ for pets?
