First and foremost, the testimony of community among Quakers is built on a foundation of an inner experience of community. Sitting in a circle as equals is part of that community feeling, but that sense of or testimony of community includes many values and meanings.
This inner feeling and experiences of both individual and collective ‘community’ within the inner silence leads then to an outer expression or activism of that inner ‘truth’, value, and meaning of community.
