On May 18, Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority gave its initial approval for Tokyo Electric Powerto release radioactive water from the destroyed Fukushima nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean, claiming that there are no safety concerns. But science disagrees with this conclusion.
