Twitter is asking dozens of its employees to return after letting go of nearly half its workforce last week. According to reports, some staff were let go accidentally while others were fired before management realized they were necessary to build new features. Hopefully these ‘laid off’ employees demand a better package, since they will most likely be fired shortly after they are determined to be ‘excess’ baggage, once the new features are installed. Unions would not allow this kind of thing, and point to the need for high tech workers to unionize.
