War is insane, largely because there is no end to the ‘arms race’. Every development is met with a counter, which makes the original development obsolete. Every weapon becomes worthless, and thus must be tossed aside in order to buy the newer, more ‘advanced’ and more high tech weapon.
This endless cycle is entirely self destructive, destroys democracy, destroys freedom, destroys the environment due to things like depleted uranium for example, and destroys any hope that humanity has for a viable future.
