According to the mass media, and billionaires like Murdoch, Australia must get ready for war with Communist China, by increasing it’s NATO military budget by 400 percent and increasing recruitment by the same amount, via mandated recruitment.
War with China can be justified by claiming that Australia must protect it’s ‘trading routes’.

What they do not mention is that this military spending will require cuts in social programs for schools, hospitals, roads, bridges, feeding the hungry, fighting poverty, fighting homelessness, healthcare, infrastructure, and humanity based social programs.
What they also do not mention is that this increase in military spending will benefit billionaires, while hurting the 99 percent. It will create a fascist police state, focused on punishment, rather than helping people.
