Other Eastern Catholic churches include the Maronite Church, Syriac Catholic Church, Armenian Catholic Church, Chaldean Catholic Church; there is also a small number of Latin Church Catholics. The rest belong to the Eastern communions, which have existed in Syria since the earliest days of Christianity when all Christians were part of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

In this strategic geopolitical game, the U.S.’s so-called “moderate rebels” are simply the name given to the U.S. backed insurgents, otherwise called ‘terrorists’ who fight side by side with al-Qaeda and the Islamic State, with the common goal of Syrian regime change.

TERRORISTS ARE BEING USED AS AN EXCUSE TO GENERATE MASSIVE FEAR, CLOSE DOWN MORE FREEDOMS AND TURN COUNTRIES INTO MILITARY GARRISONS
In France, borders have been closed, and Paris is a military garrison patrolled city, according to PBS. Constant sirens and a heavy military armed force on the ground is intimidating and frightening. Most people are staying indoors, afraid to go out.
There is more and more talk about the EU breaking up into walled off states, with closed borders and passports required to enter. The idea would be the equivalent of the US breaking up all of it’s states into walled off states, with each state requiring passports, and no more freedom of movement across all states, with no ID required.
As fear of terrorism grows via the mass media concentrating on it week after week, month after month, more and more freedom and power is given to a few people at the top, who then use it to accumulate more power and generate more profits for the military industrial complex and its’ appetite for never ending wars.
DU WEAPONS ARE ALSO VERY PROFITABLE, BUT END UP CONTAMINATING LARGE AREAS WITH DEADLY HEAVY METAL RADIOACTIVE POISON
What makes the war in Syria worse is the use of DU weapons and ammunition, because nothing else works quite as well, so why bother with second rate weapons and ammunition? The current response to terrorists in Syria and Iraq is for the US to sell more DU weapons and ammo to nations in the area, so they can use them.
And because the US is the biggest arms and weapons dealer in the world, it sells these DU weapons to other countries who then use them in places like Syria, Iraq Libya, Afghanistan and other countries. Not only are people bombed and shot out of their homes, they are also exposed to DU dust, which then causes birth defects, cancers and all of kinds of other health problems for a million years into the future, long after these ‘wars’ are forgotten and the names of leaders are not even known anymore.

Huge profits are being made by the military industrial complex in the US, but this way of making money is not sustainable, and the cost is millions of lives and tens of millions of refugees. The world cannot continue absorbing this cost was the 1 percent profit off of other peoples suffering.

ACLU Sends Letter to Congress About Syrian Refugee Resettlement
Over 20 U.S. governors and federal lawmakers have attempted to draw a link between the tragedy in Paris and the admission and resettlement of Syrian refugees in the U.S. It would violate the Constitution for a governor to bar an entire group of refugees from coming into their state because of their nationality.
Yesterday, the ACLU sent a letter to the House and Senate expressing support for the U.S. refugee resettlement program. It urges members of Congress to oppose proposals that call for the suspension of the program or the imposition of restrictions on funding for Syrians and other groups of refugees. The letter was signed by 80 organizations — a coalition of refugee and immigration law experts, humanitarian aid organizations, faith, and labor and civil and human rights groups.”
Rather than respond with hate, fear, bombing, and DU weapons dust, how about trying to use diplomacy, caring and love instead? What can love do, when mending a broken world?

The temptation to react to violence with fear and more violence is strong. The recent terror attacks in Paris and Beirut are tragic and demand a response. But a response based on fear will not lead to security or peace. A response based on fear can lead to the sacrifice of the very freedoms we cherish.
We now hear calls from members of Congress, from governors and candidates to shut the door to Syrian refugees or to open the doors only to Christians. This blanket response counters what our nation stands for and turns away those who most need our help—those who are seeking refuge from violent conflict.
Please urge your elected officials to welcome Syrian refugees who are fleeing violence at home.
As President Obama said in a press conference yesterday: “We also have to remember that many of these refugees are the victims of terrorism themselves — that’s what they’re fleeing. Slamming the door in their faces would be a betrayal of our values. Our nations can welcome refugees who are desperately seeking safety and ensure our own security. We can and must do both.”
Even as we grapple with fear, we must respond with love. We must offer new homes, regardless of religious or ethnic background. And we must hold on to our own humanity, seeking that of God in each person. Moreover, we must redouble our efforts to end the violent conflict in Syria that gives power to extremist violence.

As of November 2015, the US government has offered to take 10,000 Syrian refugees, per President Obama announcement. How many refugees is the US foreign policy of blocking all peaceful negotiated settlement in Syria creating?
What number of Syrians have been made homeless and stateless due to President Obama’s decision to settle for nothing less than the ouster of Assad?
The 10,000 refugees are of being blocked by many states with Republican governors, who say that won’t ‘accept’ any refugees, or if they do, they will only take Christians, but not anyone with another religion, including Jews.
Isn’t it interesting that the very foreign policy that created the millions of refugees is also causing the refusal to accept responsibility for the consequences of that foreign policy?
