Symbolic And Spiritual Meaning Of Sabbath; A Day Of Rest, 110 Verses On Sabbath Day In Bible, Year Of Jubilee, Forgiveness Of All Debts Globally

FROM THE BEGINNING OF CREATION, GOD RESTED IN HIS CREATION, BY BREATHING IN, AFTER BREATHING OUT CREATION FOR SIX DAYS

The story of Creation is important to understand, not just from a 3D scientific, mental point of view, but from a point of 5D view of miracle filled spiritual faith and gaining the wisdom of just how huge this miracle of Creation is.. God’s Creation is so vast, that it is a miracle in and of itself, even without mentioning God, or the gifts contained inside of Creation.

God as the most Holy Spirit and as a spiritual Father provides an example of what to do for all the children of God.. Rest one day out of seven. But the Sabbath day is much more than that… how much more?

The breath of God literally created life six days out of seven, but even God needed to ‘rest’ or breathe in.. Humans were created in God’s image, so humans need rest, just as God did.

SABBATH IS SYMBOLIC OF RESTING IN GOD, LETTING GOD WORK THROUGH US

“As revealed in Colossians 2:16-17, the Sabbath was symbolic. According to Exodus 23:12, one of the purposes of the Sabbath was to give man and his animals one day of physical rest each week. Today’s medical science has proven that our bodies need at least one day of rest each week to function at our peak. Deuteronomy 5:15, also clearly states that the Sabbath was to serve as a reminder to the Jews that they had been slaves in Egypt and were delivered from bondage, not by their own efforts, but by the supernatural power of God. However, in the New Testament, there is an even clearer purpose of the Sabbath stated. In Colossians 2:16-17, Paul reveals that the Sabbath was only a shadow of things to come and is now fulfilled in Christ. Hebrews 4:1-11, talks about a Sabbath rest that is available to, but not necessarily functional in, all New Testament believers. This New Testament Sabbath rest is simply a relationship with God in which we have ceased from doing things by our own efforts and are letting God work through us (Gal. 2:20; Heb. 4:10). The Sabbath is not a day, but rather a relationship with God through Jesus. Rest in His love and let Him use you today.

WHY TAKE ONE DAY A WEEK OFF FOR REST? HERE ARE FOUR REASONS, ALL FOUND IN THE BIBLE

Why do so many people argue over things like which day to observe the Sabbath, or whether it is some Communist plot which promotes laziness?

Rather than staying on the surface layer of mental theory, why not explore all of the heart felt callings and leadings, which lead into deeper truths and natural laws created by God?

It is a commandment of God – Exodus 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

It is a witness – Exodus 31:14 ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it is to be put to death; those who do any work on that day must be cut off from their people.

It is serious Numbers 15:32 While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly,34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.35 Then the LORD said to Moses, “The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp.”36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.

It is a blessing Mark 2:23 One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and as his disciples walked along, they began to pick some heads of grain.24 The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”25 He answered, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need?26 In the days of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions.” 27 Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

Bottom line, Christ came to give us freedom from the law, while still honoring it in the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Lord and master of the Sabbath.. as our High Priest, who made us all High Priests and children of God, filled with the Holy Spirit. We are to rest in the Holy Spirit and do as God and the Holy Spirit command and call us to do, even on this holy day.

The Old Testament Jewish law without Jesus Christ demands absolute obedience and punishment by stoning to death, for not doing so, no matter what, for many of the over 600 laws in the Old Testament. In other words, if someone has had an accident and is trapped in the car and you are the first to arrive on a Sabbath, ignore them and keep on driving. The Old Testament law by itself does not work, especially if a person is trying to follow all of the laws and dictates, and then also follow all of the punishments to the letter.

For example, the Old Testament requires stoning to death of anyone caught violating the Sabbath, via working, or even for helping someone get healed, or feeding a hungry person food, which is one reason why Christ was condemned to death… He violated the Sabbath law on a number of occasions with multiple witnesses present.

This is one reason why Christ came, to forgive all of the sins of humanity, and abolish the ‘punishments’ and blood sacrifices Old Testament system. He offered his own sacrifice and blood to cover all of the sins being committed that violated all of these Old Testament laws.

Christ came and offered not only his own life and blood, but also offered the unconditional love and forgiving part of God’s law, which is to HELP, and do not ignore someone who needs help on the day of Sabbath.

Leviticus 23:3 “ ‘There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the LORD.

Exodus 16:25 “Eat it today,” Moses said, “because today is a sabbath to the LORD. You will not find any of it on the ground today.

Deuteronomy 5:15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the LORD your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.

SABBATH DAY IS PART OF HEAVEN ON EARTH, LIKE LIVING IN GARDEN OF EDEN, IT IS DESIGNED TO BE A HOLY GIFT AND BLESSING FOR ALL CHILDREN OF GOD; WHAT YOU CAN DO IS TO HONOR IT AND KEEP IT HOLY

Keeping the Sabbath is a commandment just like the other Commandments listed in the Old Testament, which were created by God and given to Moses.

Jesus taught that it is not about the letter of the law but keeping the commandments in love, as Jesus Christ did. Christ is the best example of keeping the Sabbath commandment.

Christ still healed people on the Sabbath when they asked him. He fed people on the Sabbath and gathered wheat grains in the fields along with his disciples, because they were hungry. Bottom line, if a person does not ‘work’ for mammon gain, does good and refrains from harm on the Sabbath and rests in the holiness of God and the Holy Spirit, that is still inside of the intent of this most holy day of God’s creation.

Bottom line; If you are Jewish and follow the Old Testament, or if you are Christian and want to follow Christ, do not schedule anything around money or your occupation on this one weekly day of rest, no matter what day you choose to honor with this designation.

Wikipedia; “During his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus explicitly referenced the prohibitions against murder and adultery. In Matthew 19:16–19 Jesus repeated five of the Ten Commandments, followed by that commandment called “the second” (Matthew 22:34–40) after the first and great commandment.

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.— Matthew 19:16–19

In his Epistle to the RomansPaul the Apostle also mentioned five of the Ten Commandments and associated them with the neighbourly love commandment.

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.— Romans 13:8–10 KJV

The Ten Commandments (Biblical Hebrew: עֲשֶׂרֶת הַדְּבָרִים‎, ʿĂsereṯ haDəḇārīm, lit. ’The Ten Words’), or the Decalogue (from Latin decalogus, from Ancient Greek δεκάλογος [dekálogos], lit. “ten words”), are a set of biblical principles relating to ethics and worship originally from the Jewish tradition that play a fundamental role in Judaism and Christianity. The text of the Ten Commandments appears in three different versions in the Bible:[1] at Exodus 20:2–17Deuteronomy 5:6–21, and the “Ritual Decalogue” of Exodus 34:11–26.

According to the Book of Exodus in the Torah, the Ten Commandments were revealed to Moses at Mount Sinai, told by Moses to the Israelites in Exodus 19:25 and inscribed by the finger of God on two tablets of stone.[2]

The Ten Commandments as they appear in a Torah scroll

The Ten Commandments form the basis of Jewish law,[62] stating God’s universal and timeless standard of right and wrong – unlike the rest of the 613 commandments in the Torah, which include, for example, various duties and ceremonies such as the kashrut dietary laws, and the rituals to be performed by priests in the Holy Temple.[63]

Jewish tradition considers the Ten Commandments the theological basis for the rest of the commandments. Philo, in his four-book work The Special Laws, treated the Ten Commandments as headings under which he discussed other related commandments.[64] Similarly, in The Decalogue he stated that “under [the “commandment… against adulterers”] many other commands are conveyed by implication, such as that against seducers, that against practisers of unnatural crimes, that against all who live in debauchery, that against all men who indulge in illicit and incontinent connections.”[65] Others, such as Rabbi Saadia Gaon, have also made groupings of the commandments according to their links with the Ten Commandments.[66] Source; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_Commandments#

What Is the Sabbath in the Bible and Should Christians Observe It?

“Jesus wants to clarify the meaning of Sabbath for them. The people are in need of rest—to stop hard work (shabbat) and be present with God (nuakh). And Jesus is here to usher in the full promise. He is God’s rest, and the people can come to him and find the true seventh-day rest that God intended.

Jesus reminds the people of God’s original intention for the Sabbath: unity with God, creation, and each other. Jesus teaches that the Sabbath points to him, the one Israel’s prophets promised would come to mercifully restore the rhythm of all creation.

When followers of Jesus observe the Sabbath, we live as if this restoration has already taken place. We take a break from the broken rhythms of hustle and hardship to set aside a time to honor Jesus’ rule, enjoy his presence, and extend rest to the world around us. When we trust God’s invitation to come to him and truly rest, we become places where his presence can dwell. https://bibleproject.com/articles/keeping-the-sabbath-is-it-still-relevant-to-christians-today/#:

SABBATH LAW ALSO REQUIRES FARMERS TO REST THEIR FIELDS EVERY SEVEN YEARS, EVIDENCE OF THIS LAW IS FOUND IN MODERN DAY CROP ROTATION

Leviticus 25:4  But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the LORD. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.

If farmers do not allow their land to rest via cover crops that put nitrogen back into the soil on a regular rotation schedule, the soil becomes completely exhausted and will not bear any more crops, and the farmer will fail, losing the land.

RODALE: “If a farmer plants the exact same crop in the same place every year, as is common in conventional farming, she continually draws the same nutrients out of the soil. Pests and diseases happily make themselves a permanent home as their preferred food source is guaranteed. With monocultures like these, increasing levels of chemical fertilizers and pesticides become necessary to keep yields high while keeping bugs and disease at bay.

Crop rotation helps return nutrients to the soil without synthetic inputs.

The practice also works to interrupt pest and disease cycles, improve soil health by increasing biomass from different crops’ root structures, and increase biodiversity on the farm. Life in the soil thrives on variety, and beneficial insects and pollinators are attracted to the variety above ground, too. https://rodaleinstitute.org/why-organic/organic-farming-practices/crop-rotations/

SABBATH HOLY LAW ALSO REQUIRES FORGIVING ALL DEBTS EVERY 7 AND 50 YEARS, INCLUDING NATIONAL DEBT OWED TO BILLIONAIRES ENSLAVING ALL OF HUMANITY

Forgiving all debts is also part of the Sabbath Commandment, and suffering is the consequence of violating this commandment. Sabbath law requires forgiving all debts every 7 and 7×7 years, and returning whatever was pledged to the original owner, thus no one could lose their home or land.

On page one of the Bible, God orders a beautiful world out of chaotic darkness within a sequence of six days. And on the seventh day, God rests. This introduces the major biblical theme of patterns of seven that conclude with God and humans resting together as partners. In this video, we explore the theme of seventh day rest and the biblical concept of Sabbath. We also look at why Jesus adopted this idea as a major part of his own mission to bring God’s Kingdom to Earth.

Nehemiah 10:31 “When the neighboring peoples bring merchandise or grain to sell on the Sabbath, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on any holy day. Every seventh year we will forgo working the land and will cancel all debts.

Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors.

Leviticus 25:13 On this year of jubilee each of you shall return to his own property.

Leviticus 25:28 But if they do not acquire the means to repay, what was sold will remain in the possession of the buyer until the Year of Jubilee. It will be returned in the Jubilee, and they can then go back to their property.

Most people cannot handle debts either on a personal level, nor on a national basis. Debts accumulate and only the billionaires who get rich off of the interest benefit. Both personally and nationally, increasing debt turns people and nations into slaves, and that is not what God or Christ want.

Thus, the year of Jubilee, which is part of Sabbath Law, is offered as a way out, into freedom, to worship and rest in God, free of debts.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HONOR THE SABBATH LAW AND FORGIVENESS OF ALL DEBTS

As followers of Jesus, God does not expect us to live by Israel’s laws. However, the wisdom of these laws remains, and the law of the Sabbath is rich with significance for us today. Sabbath is not a commandment we are bound to; it’s a promise we’re invited to enjoy. https://bibleproject.com/articles/keeping-the-sabbath-is-it-still-relevant-to-christians-today/#

Work towards bringing Eden or Heaven to Earth, by following Sabbath law. What does this look and feel like? First, trust in God, and rest in His authority, supreme power, justice and forgiveness, as well as the Natural laws, such as the Law Of Sabbath.

Everyone is broken/cracked, just like the liberty bell. Through that crack and brokenness, the light of God shines in via forgiveness and Christ’s unconditional love.

End the Drug War by decriminalizing all drugs, and offering drug rehab instead of prison for all addicts.

End the Fed’s fiat fake money and end all debts owed to the private for profit Federal Bank system controlled by a few billionaires. Transfer power and money into public banks, controlled by local communities, via public elections for their boards. Forgive all debts every 7 and 50 years especially for those who cannot repay their debts.

Plant more trees and let the Earth rest/recover.

Promote worker owned cooperatives, modelled after Mondragon of Basque, especially for public utilities, such as garbage, energy, banking, roads, bridges, food, farms, etc.

Bring all troops home, disband standing army.

End fossil fuel monopoly over plastics via growing and processing hemp into thousands of products that can be recycled rather than thrown into bloated obscene landfills.

End all human slavery.

Share the story of Christ… and why he broke Sabbath day slavery to the ‘law’ of punishment.

Jesus Shared His Father’s Glory
‘Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.’ – John 5:18
When the Jewish authorities heard Jesus call God ‘my (own) Father’, they immediately understood that Jesus claimed for Himself deity in the highest possible sense of that term. That claim was either blasphemy, to be punished by death, or else Jesus was who He claimed to be.

Jesus never associated Himself with His disciples by using the plural pronoun ‘our’ Father. Rather, He always used the singular ‘my’ Father, since His relationship was unique and eternal, whereas theirs was by grace and regeneration.

We should ponder carefully our Lord’s own conception of who He was. He said ‘I am from above’ (Jn. 8:23); ‘Before Abraham was, I AM’ (Jn. 8:58); ‘I and my Father are one’ (Jn. 10:30); ‘He that hath seen me hath seen the Father’ (Jn. 14:9); and ‘I am not of the world’ (Jn. 17:16). He also declared His eternal pre-existence and that He shared the Father’s glory (Jn. 6:62; 17:5).

We can’t just honor Jesus, but we have to honor Him ‘even as’ (in like manner or the same way) we honor the Father. This is what separates true Christianity from the religions of the world. Most religions honor Jesus as a great man (examples: Islam, Unification Church, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc.), but they are violently opposed to making Jesus equal with Almighty God (1 Jn. 2:23). The names and titles given to Jesus in John’s gospel clearly present Jesus as being equal with God. He is all you need Him to be.
