A Gospel According To Scapegoats; How And Why Truth Telling Whistleblowers Are STILL Being Punished Today

“From the inception of the Gospel narratives, we can see that they were not just stories written about a scapegoat—they were stories written by scapegoats…. When the [New Testament] authors told the stories of Jesus’s life or of the early church, they wrote and interpreted from this fringe position. The Gospel writers also focused on the stories of the marginalized…. These were the people Jesus taught, healed, and befriended in his life—the societal victims and outcast people who lived not only on the periphery of the empire but on the periphery of their own culture. The gospel story, then, is a story about a victim, written by victims, and featuring victims. It is good news for victims; it is a scapegoat’s gospel. [1] Jesus’ death on the cross reveals the violence of scapegoating.

Jesus Christ took the side of those who were scapegoated in his society by both Jewish leaders,  Pharisees, Sadducees and the Roman occupiers. Jesus did not falsely blame or lie about anyone, but he did state the fact that the Pharisees and Sadducees (plus Romans) became children of hell by rejecting Jesus as their only Savior.

If Jesus Christ returned today, would he find that the same types of scapegoating is going on these days, as it was during the time of his ministry? What might Christ say about what is happening inside of many Christian churches via unforgiveness, revenge, war mongering, and weapons dealing, plus denying Christ’s teachings? Or would Christ find Christians exhibiting all of the character traits of Christ, via the Holy Spirit?

WHY DID JESUS TEACH FORGIVENESS, MERCY AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, WHICH IS THE OPPOSITE OF SCAPEGOATING?

Scapegoating Then and Now

“Many Christians, with utter irony, worshipped Jesus the Scapegoat on Sundays and, on the other six days of the week, made scapegoats of Jews, Muslims, other Christian denominations, heretics, sinners, pagans, the poor, and almost anybody who was not like themselves. One would have thought that Christians who “gazed upon the one they had pierced” (John 19:37) would have gotten the message about how wrong domination, power, and hatred can be. The system has been utterly wrong about their own chosen God figure, yet they continue to trust the system.

Scapegoating depends upon a rather sophisticated, but easily learned, ability to compartmentalize, to separate, to divide the world into the pure and the impure. Anthropologically, all religion begins with the creation of the “impure.” Very soon an entire moral system emerges, with taboos, punishments, fears, guilts, and even a priesthood to enforce it. It gives us a sense of order, control, and superiority, which is exactly what the ego wants and the small self demands.

The religious genius of Jesus is that he utterly refuses all debt codes, purity codes, and the searching for sinners. He refuses to divide the world into the pure and the impure, much to the chagrin of almost everybody—then and now. [2] https://cac.org/daily-meditations/scapegoating-then-and-now/

JESUS AS SCAPEGOAT CAME TO REPLACE THE OLD TESTAMENT DAY OF ATONEMENT ANIMAL SACRIFICES, BY OFFERING HIMSELF AND HIS BLOOD IN PLACE OF ALL SACRIFICIAL ANIMALS

Leviticus 16:3 This is how Aaron is to enter the Most Holy Place: He must first bring a young bull for a sin offering[a] and a ram for a burnt offering. He is to put on the sacred linen tunic, with linen undergarments next to his body; he is to tie the linen sash around him and put on the linen turban. These are sacred garments; so he must bathe himself with water before he puts them on. From the Israelite community he is to take two male goats for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.

“Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household. Then he is to take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting. He is to cast lots for the two goats—one lot for the Lord and the other for the scapegoat.[b] Aaron shall bring the goat whose lot falls to the Lord and sacrifice it for a sin offering. 10 But the goat chosen by lot as the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord to be used for making atonement by sending it into the wilderness as a scapegoat.

“He shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people and take its blood behind the curtain and do with it as he did with the bull’s blood: He shall sprinkle it on the atonement cover and in front of it. 16 In this way he will make atonement for the Most Holy Place because of the uncleanness and rebellion of the Israelites, whatever their sins have been. He is to do the same for the tent of meeting, which is among them in the midst of their uncleanness. 17 No one is to be in the tent of meeting from the time Aaron goes in to make atonement in the Most Holy Place until he comes out, having made atonement for himself, his household and the whole community of Israel. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Leviticus%2016&version=NIV

For all Jews And Gentiles, Christ represents the ultimate scapegoat, who was killed and shed his blood for all human sins since Adam and Eve on Golgotha Hill, right next to the Holiest Temple in Israel. Christ is also the replacement for the Old Testament system of animal sacrifices. Christ eliminated the need for the annual Old Testament Day of Atonement, as well as all animal sacrifices in or around the Jewish temple completely. Christ and the Holy Spirit are also the substitute for the Ark Of The Covenant, which used to be kept in Solomon’s Temple, located on the Temple Mount. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_Mount#

2 Chronicles 35:2 The Passover lambs were slaughtered, and the priests splashed against the altar the blood handed to them, while the Levites skinned the animals. 12 They set aside the burnt offerings to give them to the subdivisions of the families of the people to offer to the Lord, as it is written in the Book of Moses. They did the same with the cattle. 13 They roasted the Passover animals over the fire as prescribed, and boiled the holy offerings in pots, caldrons and pans and served them quickly to all the people. 14 After this, they made preparations for themselves and for the priests, because the priests, the descendants of Aaron, were sacrificing the burnt offerings and the fat portions until nightfall. So the Levites made preparations for themselves and for the Aaronic priests.

2 Chronicles 35 Josiah celebrated the Passover to the Lord in Jerusalem, and the Passover lamb was slaughtered on the fourteenth day of the first month. He appointed the priests to their duties and encouraged them in the service of the Lord’s temple. He said to the Levites, who instructed all Israel and who had been consecrated to the Lord: “Put the sacred ark in the temple that Solomon son of David king of Israel built. It is not to be carried about on your shoulders. Now serve the Lord your God and his people Israel. Prepare yourselves by families in your divisions, according to the instructions written by David king of Israel and by his son Solomon.

GOD IS ON THE SIDE OF THE UNDERDOG SCAPEGOATED VICTIMS, LIKE CHRIST, NOT ON THE SIDE OF LYING TOP DOWN OPPRESSORS, TYRANTS AND BULLIES, WHO SEEK ABSOLUTE POWER AND ACT LIKE GODS

So where does God stand in terms of those who are scapegoating others?

Just like in the days of Christ’s ministry, when society, government and religion largely scapegoated, blamed natural healers and those performing Christ like miracles, it still happens today. Slavery was very common. God the Father supported his Son Christ, who supported freeing ALL slaves. God in the form of Christ fed, clothed, and healed the oppressed, refugees, migrants, victims, the impure, the rejected, the abandoned, the unholy, and detested minorities present in a corrupted top down colonial Roman empire.

SCAPEGOATING OF THE UNEMPLOYED, ILL, DISABLED AND SICK

Just like in the days of Christ’s ministry, when Jewish society, Roman government and religions of that day largely scapegoated, blamed and refused to help the disabled, sick and unemployed, it still happens today. Will Christians act like Jesus and help the downtrodden, ill, sick, disabled and those refusing to go along with absolute corruption, or scapegoat and blame them for all ills in society?

SCAPEGOATING OF THE UNVACCINATED

Just like in the days of Christ’s ministry, when society, government and religion largely scapegoated, blamed, shamed, guilted, excluded and punished healers as well as natural health herbs. Herbs and fermented foods are found in numerous Bible verses. Will Christians act like Jesus and love them no matter what their choice, or scapegoat and blame them for all ills in society?

SCAPEGOATING OTHER COUNTRIES, VIA FALSE FLAG ATTACKS

Just like in the days of Christ’s ministry, when society, government and religion largely scapegoated, and blamed Jesus as a peace advocate who along with God, taught that any killing of another human is not allowed as a COMMANDMENT, killing for profit, genocide, false flags and war profiteering still happens today.

Will Christians act like Jesus and denounce all wars, killing and weapons dealing, as Jesus would have done, or scapegoat and blame them for all ills in society and up the ante right into a global nuclear war, as Satan wants?

“With the exception of the War on Afghanistan (October 2001) and the 1990-91 Gulf War, all major US-NATO and allied led military operations over a period of more than half a century –since the invasion of Vietnam by US ground forces on March 8, 1965– have been initiated in the month of March.” See: The Pentagon’s “Ides of March 2024”: Best Month to Go to War?

When war profiteers and dark lords want unlimited profits from war, how far are they willing to go, in order to make obscene profits from genocide, plus gain absolute control over the entire world? Most of these dark lords and allies with demons believe that nuclear war is ‘winnable’ and a first strike on another country is ‘legal’, moral and ethical.

SCAPEGOATING ‘TERRORISTS’

Just like in the days of Christ’s ministry, when society, government and religion largely scapegoated and blamed Jesus as being a terrorist who deserved to die for healing people on the Sabbath, it still happens today. Will Christians act like Jesus and denounce propaganda plus eliminate funding by the US for terrorist groups like ISIS, or scapegoat and blame them for all ills in society, which then leads to never ending wars?

What is the Islamic State (ISIL, ISIS-Daesh)? Who is Behind It

“As outlined by Peter Koenigfive Islamic State gunmen (ISIL) waged a brutal terror attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Concert Hall attached to a shopping mall, at the outskirts of Moscow.

The Islamic State (IS) claimed credit for the attack.”

The Islamic State or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) happens to be a creation of the CIA, affiliated to Al Qaeda. https://michelchossudovsky.substack.com/p/islamic-state-terror-attack-against?

SCAPEGOATING AND/OR KILLING ANYONE CRITICAL OF ISRAEL AND/OR EXTREMIST ZIONISM

Just like in the days of Christ’s ministry, when society, government and religion largely scapegoated, blamed and refused to help the powerless and colonized, it still happens today. Back in the days of Christ, it was the Roman empire that held absolute power, and they were the ones who attacked and destroyed the 2nd Jewish temple about 40 years after Christ was killed.

Will Christians act like Jesus and work to bring Jesus to the lost in Israel via missionary work, or scapegoat and blame all innocent Jewish people for all ills in the world or society, via anti semitic beliefs, just like in the days of Nazis?

Only 2 percent of Israelis living in Israel are Christian, so Christian missionaries are desperately needed in Israel.

SCAPEGOATING REFUGEES AND MIGRANTS FLEEING DEVASTATING US EMPIRE FOREIGN POLICIES

Will Christians act like Jesus and help migrants and refugees as the Bible calls for and commands, or will Christians ignore the Bible, Christ and scapegoat and blame them for all ills in society?

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Christ called out a lot of corrupt people during his 3 years of verbal ministry.. he called the injustice or the corrupted hypocrites out specifically. Christ told parables that pointed at unrighteous indirectly. Jewish scribes, capitalists in the temple, leaders of the temples, politicians, the Roman empire, were all fair game for Christ’s stand for truth, and against the rich and absolutely powerful, lying plus corrupt elite who ended up killing him for being the Son Of God.. as a sacrificial goat.

Christ also stood up to Satan and killed invisible spirit demons and/or tossed them out left, right and center.

Christ is returning after the end times, which may be coming up very soon. Christ as forgiver, mercy giver and grace enabler is soon to end. Christ the judge will happen after the tribulation period has ended, whatever that looks like….

THE SCAPEGOATED JESUS SACRIFICED HIS LIFE; HE OFFERS A GIFT OF ETERNITY IN HEAVEN, SO WHY WOULD SO MANY REJECT HIM AND HIS PROMISE?

After destroying Jerusalem and the 2nd Jewish temple on the mount, Romans covered up the tomb of Jesus and put the temple of Jupiter above it, which is part of the pattern of a rejection of Christ and everything he stood for by Romans, despite all of the evidence pointing to the life of Christ and his eternal truths standing forever.

Join Joel as he travels from Israel to Rome to Turkey, to explain plus show via video the evidence for the tomb of Jesus, plus the place where Christ was crucified, and to tell the story of the first and most important archaeological dig ever conducted…the excavation of the Tomb of Jesus. Joel also explains Roman history from the time of covering up the tomb of Jesus with a temple for Jupiter, to the time of Roman Emperor Constantine, who had a vision of Jesus. Roman Emperor Constantine then won a battle against an Anti Christ Roman Emperor that put an end to Christians demonization and put in place official Roman government acceptance and support for Christ plus Christians.

Why did Jesus refer to the Pharisees as a “child of hell” in Matthew 23:15?

“The Pharisees and their converts were children of hell primarily because they rejected God’s provision for their salvation, attempting to justify themselves through their own righteous deeds. In so doing, they “shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces” (Matthew 23:13). Jesus said that, when they made a Gentile convert, they made him double the child of hell that they were—the former pagan became twice the hypocrite that they were, twice as confirmed in wickedness. By opposing Jesus, the leaders tried to convince people that He was an impostor. Many were ready to embrace Him as the Messiah and were about to enter into the kingdom of heaven, but the hypocrites prevented it. Jesus says they had “taken away the key of knowledge” (Luke 11:52), meaning they had taken away the right interpretation of the ancient prophecies respecting the Messiah. In that way they prevented the people from receiving Jesus as their promised Redeemer.

Just as the Pharisees and Sadducees became children of hell by rejecting Jesus as their only Savior, so do millions today. All who remain in their sins are deserving of hell because God demands justice, and wickedness must be paid for (Romans 6:23). If we reject Christ’s payment for our sins, we must pay for them ourselves, thus rendering ourselves children of hell. https://www.gotquestions.org/child-of-hell.html

Josh Gates is in Jerusalem at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Many believe the church was built at the site of Jesus’ crucifixion and interment.

JESUS STOOD FOR ABSOLUTE ETERNAL TRUTHS, AND AGAINST DECEPTION, LIES, FRAUD; HE MADE A PROPHECY ABOUT SHEEP VERSUS GOATS

hen Jesus walked this earth, He went to great lengths to speak truth and stand against deceitfulness. At times, He used parables and metaphors to teach and explain the truths of God. In Matthew’s Gospel, during a long teaching that included many parables, Jesus talked about the sheep and the goats. He used both terms to help people understand what was to come.

“All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats” (Matthew 25:32).

Jesus is the Shepherd, and in this verse, He said that He will separate sheep (believers) from goats (unbelievers) when He returns. The sheep represent those who have accepted salvation and the goats represent those who have rejected salvation. https://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-study/topical-studies/why-does-jesus-say-he-will-separate-the-sheep-and-the-goats.html#
