5 Things You Should Never Do During a Crisis of Faith, or Losing Faith In God/Jesus Christ – 5 Signs of a Dark Night of Soul – Everyone Has Faith

EVERYONE HAS FAITH?

EVERYONE has faith.

The only questions are;

Who does a person have faith in? Think of anyone that is idolized and treated like God… royalty, politician, actor, singer, etc.

What things does a person have faith in? Think of anything that is idolized and treated like God… Addictions, obsessions, status, possessions, money, etc…

Those who do not believe in God, Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit, have a certain kind of 3D faith as outlined above. But this limited faith usually runs out, leaving a person feeling empty, disappointed and bitter, after the imperfections become apparent, or the negative consequences start appearing.

Any (Anti God, Anti Christ) faith built on a foundation of self, mind, ego, a physical body, thoughts, logic, science, or things like capitalism, allopathy, philosophy, a huge variety of beliefs, drugs, addictions, phobias, anger, possessions, status, power, graven images, politics, idols, or certain people just to name a few… All of these have limitations and end up not working long term.

Even a person claiming to NOT have any faith in anyone or anything is still expressing a form of faith; a faith in emptiness, nothingness or the void within. This feeling of emptiness is real and true. To a certain extent this emptiness is true, but the void is also pointing at the fact that God is not in it, due to rebellion.

Any person can fill the void or emptiness within with God, Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is possible for God to fill the inner emptiness with Holy Spirit led inner peace, love and joy, plus much more.

EVERYONE EVENTUALLY GETS TO TEST THEIR ‘FAITH’ IN THE ‘FIRES’ OF LIFE’S CHALLENGES AND CRISES

What is certain is that all faith, no matter what that faith is focused on; people, things, money, power, status, earthly systems, emptiness, or in corrupted false prophets, will be tested at some point in life.

We can also examine ourselves and test our own faith.. Do we realize that Christ is in us, in the form of the Holy Spirit?

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?

Psalms 26:2  Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind

Deuteronomy 8:2 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

1 Peter 4:12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

1 Corinthians 3:13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.

A question may come up during a crisis or test of faith;

Do I trust and have faith in God even more and deeper, or do I rebel against God, Christ and Holy Spirit, and go my own way without them?

Satan will use a test of faith to try and break a person, to try and get a person to abandon God, leave Christ, and rebel against the Holy Spirit, because that is just one way that Satan can win.

DO NOT PUT GOD TO THE TEST; FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF JESUS WHEN HE WAS TEMPTED BY SATAN

Satan is very real. He and his legions of dark angels do their best to keep everyone away from God, Christ and the Holy Spirit, through deception, lies, doubts, fears, and many other tricks. Satan even tempted Christ by offering him the entire world, if Christ would only submit to Satan’s will, by ‘testing God’. Read what Christ responded with https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%204%3A1-11&version=NKJV

Luke 4:12 Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

If Christ was attacked personally by Satan, everyone else is also subject to these attacks and others even more devious and dark. Satan wants everyone to rebel against God, in the same way that Satan and his army of dark angels are rebelling since the time time of Adam/Eve.

Part of Satan’s strategy is to cause people to not believe in God, and/or to lose their faith in God, and/or to rebel against God by not keeping the ten commandments.

Not knowing and not following the ten commandments is by definition a rebellion against God, which can easily separate a person from God and prevent answers to prayers, which then causes even deeper rebellion, because a person may think that God abandoned them.

Psalms 78:56 But they put God to the test and rebelled against the Most High; they did not keep his statutes.

Testing God does not work, and neither does trying to keep the 600 religious man made ‘rules’ in the Old Testament.. Christ came in part to do away with all of the minutia ‘rules’ that no one could possibly follow.

Acts 15:10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear?

Christ came to offer a new covenant agreement, via his shed blood. Christ came in part to get rid of animal sacrifices and animal blood in temples. Christ came to sanctify those who follow him.

5 Things You Should Never Do during a Crisis of Faith

1. Stop Attending Church

The enemy wants us to isolate and be disconnected from Christian community. God has designed us to worship, commune, and hear the word of God together. A crisis of faith will only become more difficult to navigate if you stop attending church. Feelings of loneliness and rejection, avoiding worship, and the lack of being fed by Scripture will all fuel the crisis, rather than bring resolve.

2. Stop Praying

Someone who is having a crisis of faith might think taking a break from praying to God makes sense. But disconnecting from your Creator and Savior is never part of the solution. God can handle all your doubts, emotions, and thoughts. In prayer, you will find peace, make space to hear from God, and stay connected to the God who loves you and wants you to find your way to deeper faith restored.

3. Stop Reading the Bible

If having a crisis of faith, it may become harder to find the motivation to read Scripture. However, continue to make time to read the Bible and listen to God’s truth. Truth will be what helps you find your way out of a crisis of faith, so it is vital to stay in Scripture. Keeping a few key verses on hand can help someone navigate a crisis of faith.

James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

IT TAKES FAITH TO FACE WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW AROUND A GLOBAL COVID CRISIS

Read book; “Courage to Face COVID-19”

The universal theme around the world that is happening today is a disconnect from the reality of God and Christ. That disconnect then forms the foundation for rebellion against God, even if it is unconscious.

This rebellion then causes a person to put God out of the picture, and then coming up with all kinds of idols or false prophets/messiahs to put their faith in. When those idols are tested, they fail, because only God, Christ and the Holy Spirit will keep on standing and come through victoriously.

The Bible from Genesis to Revelations is full of people rebelling against God, against Christ, and against the Holy Spirit, even to the point of trying to erase them from history.

But that same holy book is also full of stories who do have faith which can move mountains and how they pass the test of faith, with God, Holy Spirit and Christ.

Revelation 3:10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

FIVE SIGNS YOU ARE GOING THROUGH A DARK NIGHT OF SOUL

KEEP DOING GOOD AND HAVING FAITH, EVEN IF NO ONE ELSE IS

Keep on telling the truth, doing good, and come from the heart, even if no one else around you is.

WHAT YOU CAN DO IF YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN

Remember that you have been created, but you are also a Creator, with the potential unlimited and infinite power of the Holy Spirit inside of you.

Do not let others convince you that you are helpless, weak, useless, worthless, or somehow ‘less than’ someone else.

With the help of an indwelling Holy Spirit, anything is possible.

Remember that you were made in the image of God, with everything that this means.
