All surveys conducted over the past 10 to 15 years concerning the medicinal use of cannabis, show over 70% of the American public believe that the medicinal use of cannabis should be legal if a physician recommends it. The results of the most recent survey reveals that approximately 80% of adult Americans now share this view. Given these findings it is no surprise that 12 states in the U.S. have legalized the medicinal use of cannabis. Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico, signed the latest state medicinal cannabis legislation into law in April 2007.
The State of Oregon has a mandatory patient identification program; therefore state officials know exactly how many physicians in Oregon have recommended cannabis to at least one of their patients. 2340 physicians in Oregon have recommended the use of cannabis to one or more of their patients. Over in California, there is a voluntary patient identification card program. Because the program is voluntary we can only estimate the number of doctors in the State of California that have recommended cannabis to their patients. Typical estimates range between 3000 and 5000 physicians.
Many health care organizations recognize the medical utility of cannabis. Well over a 100 health-related entities including The American Public Health Association, The American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Pain Management Association, the Institute of Medicine and The American Nurses Association, have officially come out in favor of the medicinal use of cannabis.

Why does one political party detest and hate cannabis so much that they are willing to keep making it a felony for even possessing just a tiny amount, despite a majority of citizens approving of legalizing cannabis?
It is quite insane to think about how some states have made cannabis completely legal for recreational use, others have legalized it for medical use, but other states are keeping cannabis use a felony, with a penalty of 20 years in prison for possession of even a small amount. What happens if a person forgets they have a joint in the car and they travel from a ‘legal’ state to an ‘illegal’ state?
Is it fair to make a person like this a felon and ruin their lives completely and totally?
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Follow and/or do what you are really passionate about.
Elect those who support the decriminalization or legalization of cannabis, including growing it at home, and using concentrates like Rick Simpson oil, which is currently still ‘not allowed’ in states that have laws allowing recreational use.
Support and/or create education and science based programs focusing on herbal marijuana for medical use, mental health use, etc.
Support either reclassification or removal of any/all classification of cannabis.
Push for legalization of cannabis by contacting your local, state and federal government officials.
Future generations are making a choice, to use, promote and heal using natural, God created, organic Cannabis products of all kinds, instead of synthetic, toxic, negative side effect filled patented Big Pharma drugs made in a lab.
Don’t drive under the influence.
Don’t operate machinery under the influence.
