Who would believe that in the USA, that US citizens could be hauled off and put in concentration camps, without trial, juries, judges or courts? How can this kind of thing happen? Doesn’t the Constitution plus the Bill Of Rights guarantee all US citizens certain rights, freedoms and procedures under the law?

What happened during World War II is that huge corporations and banks made huge profits off of both sides of the war. Huge corporations grew more powerful due to the war. War profiteering became ‘normal’ and acceptable during World War II. Weapons dealers went from being scorned, mocked and seen as dark evil people to people who were noble, virtuous and heroic. Militarism itself went from being something hidden away in a dark corner to something that is now in control of the US government, via the military industrial complex.
