HISTORY/LIST OF JERUSALEM/JEWISH TEMPLE DESTRUCTIONS, SIEGES, AND ATTACKS – LIST OF JEWISH PROPHET’S KILLED HISTORICALLY – GENEOLOGY OF CHRIST

THE OLD TESTAMENT IS FULL OF WARS AND BATTLES AGAINST ISRAELITES, AND DUE TO THEIR CONTINUAL DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD, THIS REBELLION RESULTED IN THEIR DESTRUCTION, EXILE AND SLAVERY BY THEIR ENEMIES

God’s favor, protection and approval disappeared when the Judean people rebelled against God multiple times, (which is the same thing that happens to anyone rebelling against God). This article details the historical record of the killing of Jewish prophets sent to warn their leaders, including religious leaders. This article also details the destruction of Jerusalem (multiple times), the destruction of the Judean temple in Jerusalem (multiple times), as well as the destruction of the Jewish/Judean/Israelite people (multiple times).

What can be learned from this historical record, and all of these wars, destruction and death?

Why would God reject and destroy his ‘chosen’ people historically, multiple times?

Why would God And Jesus pronounce judgement on his ‘special’ and ‘most favored’ people and predict the destruction of Judea/Isreal?

Why would God cause the entire Jewish/Judean/Israelite populations, cities and temples to be destroyed multiple times over and over again?

Why would God cause the entire Judean population to be exiled and/or sold into slavery to the Egyptians and other tribes or kingdoms as well, not just once, but multiple times?

The problem was and still is all the way up to the present day that for the last 2,000 years, these ‘special’ people killed their own Jewish prophet(s) that God sent to warn them about their own rebellion and/or rejection of God, and/or worshipping of idols, and/or the breaking of their Old Testament laws and/or of their breaking of their Covenant with God.

IS ISRAEL CURSED AMONG ALL NATIONS OF THE EARTH? WHY CAN PRIESTS NO LONGER SEE ANGELS? COULD IT BE DUE TO DISOBEDIENCE/REBELLION?

What happens to nations and people who reject the prophecies and warnings from prophets sent to them?

Jeremiah 26:4-6 Say to them, ‘This is what the Lord says: If you do not listen to me and follow my law, which I have set before you, and if you do not listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I have sent to you again and again (though you have not listened), then I will make this house like Shiloh and this city a curse[a] among all the nations of the earth.’” https://jbqnew.jewishbible.org/assets/Uploads/421/JBQ_421_5_mariottiniuriah.pdf

As documented in this article, the Bible, and facts on the ground at present, the Holy Temple in Jerusalem no longer exists. The Ark Of The Covenant no longer exists, nor do any of the artifacts, nor the Levite priests who performed animal sacrifices in that temple. This is all part of the plan

“According to the ancient apocryphal Lives of the Prophets, after the murder of the prophet Zechariah ben Jehoiada, the priests of the Temple could no more, as before, see the apparitions of the angels of the Lord, nor could make divinations with the Ephod, nor give responses from the Debir.[20] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_of_Holies#

JUDEA (ISRAEL) WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED AND ALL OF IT’S ISRAELITE/JEWISH PEOPLE KILLED OR CARRIED OFF TO FOREIGN LANDS AS EXILES OR SLAVES MULTIPLE TIMES

Many prophets including Jesus Christ the prophet were sent to save the Jewish people. They all predicted the complete destruction of Judea (Israel) due to disobedience against God. Due to disobedience, the entire ‘kingdom of Judea (Israel) was destroyed, multiple times.

“Below is a partial list of Biblical prophecies that foretold the destruction of the land of Israel…..Ahijah was a prophet from Shiloh. He also is known as Ahijah the Shilonite. He was of the tribe of Levi. He is best known for his prophecy about Israel’s division into two kingdoms, as described in 1 Kings 11:29-39. http://www.aboutbibleprophecy.com/p191.htm

Here are some Bible verses related to these future prophecies of destruction of Jerusalem and the Jewish/Israelite peoples….

HISTORY OF JERUSALEM; ATTACKED 52 TIMES, CAPTURED 44 TIMES, BESIEGED 23 TIMES, AND DESTROYED COMPLETELY 2 TIMES

Wikipedia; “During its long history, Jerusalem has been attacked 52 times, captured and recaptured 44 times, besieged 23 times, and destroyed twice.[1] The oldest part of the city was settled in the 4th millennium BCE, making Jerusalem one of the oldest cities in the world.[2]

LINK TO LIST OF SIEGES OF JERUSALEM HISTORICALLY

Given the city’s central position in both Israeli nationalism and Palestinian nationalism, the selectivity required to summarize more than 5,000 years of inhabited history is often influenced by ideological bias or background (see “Historiography and nationalism“).[3]

For example, the Jewish periods of the city’s history are important to Israeli nationalists, whose discourse states that modern Jews originate and descend from the Israelites,[Note 1][Note 2] while the Islamic periods of the city’s history are important to Palestinian nationalists, whose discourse suggests that modern Palestinians descend from all the different peoples who have lived in the region.[Note 3][Note 4]

As a result, both sides claim the history of the city has been politicized by the other in order to strengthen their relative claims to the city,[3][8][9] and that this is borne out by the different focuses the different writers place on the various events and eras in the city’s history. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Jerusalem

Judah held its ground against Assyria for one hundred and twenty-three years, and became the rallying-point of the dispersed of every tribe, and eventually gave its name to the whole race. Those of the people who in the last struggle escaped into the territories of Judah or other neighboring countries naturally looked to Judah as the head and home of their race. And when Judah itself was carried off to Babylon, many of the exiled Israelites joined them from Assyria, and swelled that immense population which made Babylonia a second Palestinehttps://kingjamesbibledictionary.com/Tribes

1ST TIME SOLOMON’S TEMPLE, JERUSALEM, AND PEOPLE OF JUDAH (ISRAEL) WERE DESTROYED, CONQUERED AND SURVIVORS EXILED TO BABYLON (589-587 BC – Before Christ)

Wikipedia; “The siege of Jerusalem (circa 589–587 BC) was the final event of the Judahite revolts against Babylon, in which Nebuchadnezzar II, king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire, besieged Jerusalem, the capital city of the Kingdom of Judah. Jerusalem fell after a 30-month siege, following which the Babylonians systematically destroyed the city and Solomon’s Temple.[1][2] The Kingdom of Judah was dissolved and many of its inhabitants were exiled to Babylon.

On Tisha B’Av, July 587 or 586 BC, the Babylonians took Jerusalem, destroyed the First Temple and burned down the city.[1][2][8] The small settlements surrounding the city, and those close to the western border of the kingdom, were destroyed as well.[8] According to the Bible, Zedekiah attempted to escape, but was captured near Jericho. He was forced to watch the execution of his sons in Riblah, and his eyes were then put out.[9]

The destruction of Jerusalem and its temple led to a religious, spiritual and political crisis, which left its mark in prophetic literature and biblical tradition.[9][8] The Kingdom of Judah was abolished and annexed as a Babylonian province with its center in Mizpah.[2][9][8] The Judean elite, including the Davidic dynasty, were exiled to Babylon.[8]

After Babylon had fallen to Cyrus the Great, founder of the Persian Achaemenid Empire, in 539 BC, he allowed the exiled Judeans to return to Zion and rebuild Jerusalem. The Second Temple was completed in 516 BC. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Jerusalem_(587_BC)#:

THE JEWISH VERSUS CHRISTIAN DATING OF HISTORY CONTROVERSY

Why is the world using the language of Jewish people who do not believe in Christ, around historical dates, when they make up less than .2 percent of the global population and Christians make up close to 40 percent of the total global population? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_population_by_country#

The use of CE in Jewish scholarship was historically motivated by the desire to avoid the implicit “Our Lord” in the abbreviation AD. Although other aspects of dating systems are based in Christian origins, AD is a direct reference to Jesus as Lord.[66][67][68] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Era#

It is much easier and less confusing to use the date terms BC, (Before Christ) and AD (After Death Of Christ) and avoid the the Jewish scholar term CE, because then everything is much easier to understand.

THE 2ND TIME JEWISH TEMPLE, JUDEA (ISRAEL) GOT WIPED OUT DUE TO GOD’S JUDGEMENT, PEOPLE SCATTERED (70 AD – after death of our Lord, Jesus Christ)

Wikipedia; “The siege of Jerusalem of 70 AD was the decisive event of the First Jewish–Roman War (66–73 AD), in which the Roman army led by future emperor Titus besieged Jerusalem, the center of Jewish rebel resistance in the Roman province of Judaea. Following a five-month siege, the Romans destroyed the city and the Second Jewish Temple.[1][2][3]

In April 70 AD, three days before Passover, the Roman army started besieging Jerusalem.[4][5] The city had been taken over by several rebel factions following a period of massive unrest and the collapse of a short-lived provisional government. Within three weeks, the Roman army broke the first two walls of the city, but a stubborn rebel standoff prevented them from penetrating the thickest and third wall.[4][6] According to Josephus, a contemporary historian and the main source for the war, the city was ravaged by murder, famine, and cannibalism.[7]

On Tisha B’Av, 70 AD (August 30),[8] Roman forces overwhelmed the defenders and set fire to the Temple.[9] Resistance continued for another month, but eventually the upper and lower parts of the city were taken as well, and the city was burned to the ground. Titus spared only the three towers of the Herodian citadel as a testimony to the city’s former might.[10][11]

The siege had a major toll on human life, with many people being killed and enslaved, and large parts of the city destroyed. This victory gave the Flavian dynasty legitimacy to claim control over the empire. A triumph was held in Rome to celebrate the conquest of Jerusalem, and two triumphal arches were built to commemorate it. The treasures looted from the Temple were put on display.[7]

The destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple marked a major turning point in Jewish history.[7][12][13] The loss of mother-city and temple necessitated a reshaping of Jewish culture to ensure its survival. Judaism’s Temple-based sects, including the priesthood and the Sadducees, diminished in importance.[14]

A new form of Judaism that became known as Rabbinic Judaism developed out of Pharisaic school and eventually became the mainstream form of the religion.[2][13][7][15] Many followers of Jesus of Nazareth also survived the city’s destruction. They spread his teachings across the Roman Empire, giving rise to the new religion of Christianity.[7]

After the war had ended, a military camp of Legio X Fretensis was established on the city’s ruins.[16][17] Jerusalem was later re-founded as the Roman colony of Aelia Capitolina. Foreign cults were introduced and Jews were forbidden entry.[18][19][20] This event is often considered one of the catalysts for the Bar Kokhba revolt.[21][22] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Jerusalem_(70_CE)

3rd AND 4th TIME JERUSALEM, JEWS AND JUDEAN PEOPLE WERE CRUSHED, AND TOTALLY DESTROYED

Wikipedia; “The Jewish–Roman wars were a series of large-scale revolts by the Jews of Judaea and the Eastern Mediterranean against the Roman Empire between 66 and 135 AD.[10] The First Jewish–Roman War (66–73 AD) and the Bar Kokhba revolt (132–136 AD) were nationalist rebellions, striving to restore an independent Judean state, while the Kitos War (115–117 AD) was more of an ethno-religious conflict, mostly fought outside the province of Judaea. As a result, there is variation in the use of the term “Jewish-Roman wars.” Some sources exclusively apply it to the First Jewish-Roman War and the Bar Kokhba revolt, while others include the Kitos War as well.

The Jewish–Roman wars had a devastating impact on the Jewish people, transforming them from a major population in the Eastern Mediterranean into a dispersed and persecuted minority.[11] The First Jewish-Roman War culminated in the destruction of Jerusalem and other towns and villages in Judaea, resulting in significant loss of life and a considerable segment of the population being uprooted or displaced.[12] Those who remained were stripped of any form of political autonomy.[13]

Subsequently, the brutal suppression of the Bar Kokhba revolt resulted in even more severe consequences. Judea witnessed a significant depopulation, as many Jews were killed, expelled, or sold into slavery.[14][15] Jews were banned from residing in the vicinity of Jerusalem, which the Romans rebuilt into the pagan colony of Aelia Capitolina, and the province of Judaea was renamed Syria Palaestina.

Collectively, these events enhanced the role of Jewish diaspora, relocating the Jewish demographic and cultural center to Galilee and eventually to Babylonia, with smaller communities across the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and beyond.

The Jewish–Roman wars also had a major impact on Judaism, after the central worship site of Second Temple Judaism, the Second Temple in Jerusalem, was destroyed by Titus‘s troops in 70 AD.[16] The destruction of the Temple led to a transformation in Jewish religious practices, emphasizing prayerTorah study, and communal gatherings in synagogues. This pivotal shift laid the foundation for the emergence of Rabbinic Judaism, which has been the dominant form of Judaism since late antiquity, after the codification of the Babylonian Talmud.[17]

The Jewish–Roman wars include the following:[18]

  • First Jewish–Roman War (66–73 AD) — also called the First Jewish Revolt or the Great Jewish Revolt, spanning from the 66 AD insurrection, through the 67 AD fall of the Galilee, the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple and institution of the Fiscus Judaicus in 70 AD, and finally the fall of Masada in 73 AD.
  • Kitos War (115–117 AD) — known as the “Rebellion of the Exile” and sometimes called the Second Jewish–Roman War.
  • Bar Kokhba revolt (132–136 AD) — also called the Second Jewish–Roman War (when Kitos War is not counted), or the Third (when the Kitos War is counted).

IN TIME OF MOSES, JEWISH PROPHET HUR WAS MURDERED WHEN HE TRIED TO PREVENT THE GOLDEN CALF FROM BEING BUILT/IDOLIZED AND FOR WARNING OF GOD’S COMING JUDGEMENT FOR DISOBEDIENCE

The Jewish prophet Hur was murdered; “In Talmudic tradition the sudden disappearance of Hur from the narrative of Exodus is explained by the claim that Hur was killed when he tried to prevent the making of the Golden Calf.[7] The murder of Hur intimidated Aaron into complying with the popular demand to create the idol. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hur_(Bible)#

JEWISH PROPHET URIAH WAS MURDERED JUST FOR WARNING LEADERS OF GOD’S COMING JUDGEMENT FOR DISOBEDIENCE

The Jewish prophet Uriah was murderedJeremiah 26: 20 (Now Uriah son of Shemaiah from Kiriath Jearim was another man who prophesied in the name of the Lord; he prophesied the same things against this city and this land as Jeremiah did. 21 When King Jehoiakim and all his officers and officials heard his words, the king was determined to put him to death. But Uriah heard of it and fled in fear to Egypt. 22 King Jehoiakim, however, sent Elnathan son of Akbor to Egypt, along with some other men. 23 They brought Uriah out of Egypt and took him to King Jehoiakim, who had him struck down with a sword and his body thrown into the burial place of the common people.)

JEWISH PROPHETS ELIJAH, ISAIAH, AND ZECHARIAH KILLED, JUST FOR WARNING LEADERS OF GOD’S COMING JUDGEMENT FOR DISOBEDIENCE

The Jewish prophets Elijah and Isaiah were murdered; “King Ahav killed the prophet Elijah, King Yoash killed Zechariah and King Menashe killed Isaiah https://www.yeshiva.co/ask/58035 “According to the early church father Tertullian, the Jews stoned Jeremiah to death in Daphne (Tahpanhes in Hebrew) https://www.gotquestions.org/how-did-Jeremiah-die.html

Wikipedia; The Jewish prophet Zechariah was murdered; “In rabbinical literature, Zechariah was the son-in-law of the king, and, being also a priest, prophet, and judge, he dared censure the monarch. He was killed in the priests’ courtyard of the Temple on a Sabbath which was likewise the Day of Atonement. Later, when Nebuzar-adan, the captain of Nebuchadnezzar‘s body-guard, came to destroy the Temple, he saw Zechariah’s blood which had been boiling since his murder. The Assyrian asked the Jews what that phenomenon meant, but when they replied that it was the blood of sacrifices, he proved the falsity of their answer. The Jews then told him the truth, and Nebuzar-adan, wishing to appease Zechariah’s blood, slew in succession the Great and Small Sanhedrins, the young priests, and school-children, till the number of the dead was 940,000. Still the blood continued to boil, whereupon Nebuzar-adan cried: “Zechariah, Zechariah! for thee have I slain the best of them; wouldst thou that I destroy them all?” And at these words the blood ceased to effervesce.[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zechariah_ben_Jehoiada#:

JESUS DOCUMENTED AND DESCRIBED HOW JEWISH PROPHETS, WISE MEN AND SCRIBES SENT BY GOD, WERE FLOGGED, KILLED OR HOUNDED OUT OF TOWN

Jesus said; Matthew 23:15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves…. 29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous, 30 saying, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31 Thus you witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers. 33 You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell? 34 Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and persecute from town to town, 35 so that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah,[f] whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. 36 Truly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

THE KILLING OF CHRISTIAN PROPHETS BY ROMANS IN THE ARENA, USING LIONS

Damnatio ad bestias (Latin for “condemnation to beasts”) was a form of Roman capital punishment where the condemned person was killed by wild animals, usually lions or other big cats. This form of execution, which first appeared during the Roman Republic around the 2nd century BC, had been part of a wider class of blood sports called Bestiarii. The act of damnatio ad bestias was considered a common form of entertainment for the lower class citizens of Rome (plebeians). Killing by wild animals, such as Barbary lions,[1] formed part of the inaugural games of the Flavian Amphitheatre in AD 80. Between the 1st and 3rd centuries AD, this penalty was also applied to the worst of criminals, runaway slaves, and Christians.

THE KILLING OF THE JEWISH PROPHET JOHN THE BAPTIST, JUST FOR WARNING LEADERS OF GOD’S COMING JUDGEMENT FOR DISOBEDIENCE AND PROPHECY AROUND JESUS CHRIST

Mark 6: 2Finally the opportune time came. On his birthday Herod gave a banquet for his high officials and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee. 22 When the daughter of[d] Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner guests. The king said to the girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I’ll give it to you.” 23 And he promised her with an oath, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.” 24 She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?” “The head of John the Baptist,” she answered. 25 At once the girl hurried in to the king with the request: “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.”

THE KILLING OF THE JEWISH PROPHET JESUS CHRIST, JUST FOR WARNING JUDEAN/JEWISH LEADERS OF GOD’S COMING JUDGEMENT FOR DISOBEDIENCE

Wikipedia; “The crucifixion of Jesus was the execution by crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth in 1st-century Judaea, most likely in AD 30 or AD 33. It is described in the four canonical gospels, referred to in the New Testament epistles, attested to by other ancient sources, and is broadly accepted as one of the events most likely to have occurred during his life.[1]

According to the canonical gospels, Jesus was arrested and tried by the Sanhedrin, (A Jewish Court) and then sentenced by Pontius Pilate (a Roman Court) to be scourged, and finally crucified by the Romans.[5][6][7]

The Gospel of John portrays his death as a sacrifice for sin.  (of all mankind) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crucifixion_of_Jesus#

In the New Testament, the Sanhedrin trial of Jesus refers to the trial of Jesus before the Sanhedrin (a Jewish judicial body) following his arrest in Jerusalem and prior to the trial before Pontius Pilate. It is an incident reported by all three Synoptic Gospels of the New Testament…  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crucifixion_of_Jesus#

THE KILLING OF THE 11 PROPHETS/APOSTLES AFTER JESUS CHRIST, JUST FOR WARNING JUDEAN/JEWISH LEADERS OF GOD’S COMING JUDGEMENT FOR DISOBEDIENCE

Only one of the 12 original apostles of Christ died a natural death.

All of these other prophets who shared the Good News of Christ and His present/future Kingdom were killed, by the same people who had Christ killed, in order to try and prevent Christ’s message from getting out, and to erase Christ from the history books completely.

WHAT IS THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION? WHAT IS ZIONISM?

In the beginning, Satan was an angel of light, next to God. He rebelled and disobeyed God, so he got thrown out of Heaven. He then convinced Adam and Eve who were living in Heaven on Earth, called the Garden Of Eden, to disobey God as well, which resulted in them being thrown out of Heaven on earth. Satan’s plan is to be the absolute ruler and dictator of the entire world, because he believes he can do better than God. His strategy is to convince everyone both inside of religions and outside of them, that God is powerless, Christ is not real, and the Holy Spirit does not exist. Bottom line, Satan wants to stop God. People all over the world have been rebelling against God and his plans for their lives both individually and collectively since the beginning of time. Jewish people are no exception to this ‘rule’.

According to the Bible Jewish people rebelled against God numerous times, and Jewish religious leaders believed they were more powerful than God, and that they could stop God/Christ from doing what God and Christ came to do.

Could it be, that by rebelling against God/Christ and killing the prophets sent to warn and then save them all, that many people, including the 98 percent of people in Israel who are not Christian and do not believe in Christ, lost their soul, just like many corrupted soulless leaders today, who are either unintentionally or intentionally following a 3D Satan and all of his fallen 3D angels, who have command and control of this 3D earth plane. But there is a free will choice every person can make to connect with soul, to connect with God/Christ, and to access a 5D reality, instantly, without doing ‘righteous’ works, without any animal sacrifices, and without any money.

Why would the nation of Israel no longer have God’s protection, favor and approval today? The answer has everything to do with Jewish priests and other groups killing the prophet and Messiah called Jesus Christ, who was and still is God in the flesh.

The Jewish prophet Jesus/Messiah was murdered by the Jews, via the Roman court; 1 Thessalonians 2:15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone”

Micah 3:11-12 Her leaders judge for a bribe,
her priests teach for a price,
and her prophets tell fortunes for money.
Yet they look for the Lord’s support and say,
“Is not the Lord among us?
No disaster will come upon us.”
12 Therefore because of you,
Zion will be plowed like a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble,
the temple hill a mound overgrown with thickets.

This prophecy came true, but the situation around the Jewish people rebelling against God and now against Christ has not changed much at all. God has been patient for 2,000 years, waiting for his favored people to return home to him, through his chosen Messiah and Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ.

ZIONISTS ARE ATTEMPTING TO REBUILD 3RD TEMPLE IN JERUSALEM; IS IT NEEDED? IS IT IN LINE WITH THE PROPHECIES OF CHRIST?

Christ came to get rid of the Old Testament system based on laws, physical temples, animal sacrifices, and a priest class. Christ came to fulfil all of the prophecies and connect everyone back to God, while forgiving them completely, via the Holy Spirit. But all of the major groups, both Gentile and Jewish, rejected him at the time.

Why was Christ rejected and declared guilty by the Jewish priests? Why was he declared innocent but then killed anyway, by the Roman court?

What is the consequence of rejecting Christ, who is the Son of God?

What is the consequence of rejecting his new Kingdom?

What is the consequence of rejecting his new Covenant?

What is the consequence of rejecting his Holy Spirit?

CHRIST DECLARED THAT JERUSALEM WOULD BE DESTROYED FOR REJECTING HIM, FOR KILLING HIM AND FOR IGNORING HIS SAVING GRACE/MERCY/FORGIVENESS AND DENIAL OF HIM AS MESSIAH

What did Christ say about those who try to work or do things without Him and His authority/Name?

What did Christ predict would happen to those who refuse to submit to Him personally?

I Corinthians 3 1By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

What did Christ say about Jerusalem and Jewish people in general, during his time, which is roughly the same today? The people in Judea/Israel at the time of Christ refused to submit to him, and refused to be loyal to Him. This continues today, even to the point of not using the term AD when referring to history, instead using the term CE.

BIBLE VERSES AROUND THE REJECTION OF CHRIST

Wikipedia; “Matthew 21:42Acts 4:11 and Mark 12:10 speak of Jesus as the cornerstone which the builders (or “husbandmen”) rejected. 1 Peter 2:7 discusses this rejection of Jesus. This references similar wording in Psalm 118:22

According to the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, the Galilean cities of ChorazinBethsaidaCapernaum, and the Decapolis did not repent in response to Jesus’s teaching, so Jesus declared that the wicked cities of TyreSidonSodom and Gomorrah would have repented; it will be more bearable for the latter cities on the Judgement Day, and Capernaum, in particular, will sink down to Hades (Matthew 11:23Luke 10:13–15).

John 6:60–6:66 records “many disciples” leaving Jesus after he said that those who eat his body and drink his blood will remain in him and have eternal life (John 6:48–59). In John 6:67–71 Jesus asks the Twelve Apostles if they also want to leave, but Peter responds that they have become believers.

Jesus is rejected in Judaism as a failed Jewish messiah claimant and a false prophet by all mainstream Jewish denominations. Judaism also considers the worship of any person a form of idolatry,[11][12] and rejects the claim that Jesus was divine. However, Messianic Jewish organizations, which are not considered Jewish by any mainstream Jewish denomination, like Jews for Jesus have made the case that he is the Messiah promised by the Torah and the Prophets.[13]

  • Judaism affirms that Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophecies by ushering in an era of universal peace (Isaiah 2:4), building the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26–28), and gathering all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5–6).[14]
  • Judaism deems the worship of any person a form of idolatry, rejecting the claims that Jesus was divine, an intermediary to God, or part of a Trinity.[15][11][16][17]
  • Jews believe the Messiah will be a direct (blood) descendant of King David through Solomon on his father’s side and will be born naturally to a husband and wife (Genesis 49:10Isaiah 11:1Jeremiah 23:533:17Ezekiel 34:23–24).
  • “The point is this: that the whole Christology of the Church – the whole complex of doctrines about the Son of God who died on the Cross to save humanity from sin and death – is incompatible with Judaism, and indeed in discontinuity with the Hebraism that preceded it.”[18]
  • “Aside from its belief in Jesus as the Messiah, Christianity has altered many of the most fundamental concepts of Judaism.” (Kaplan, Aryeh)[19]
  • “…the doctrine of Christ was and will remain alien to Jewish religious thought.”[20]
  • “For two thousand years, Jews rejected the claim that Jesus fulfilled the messianic prophecies of the Hebrew Bible, as well as the dogmatic claims about him made by the church fathers – that he was born of a virgin, the son of God, part of a divine Trinity, and was resurrected after his death. … For two thousand years, a central wish of Christianity was to be the object of desire by Jews, whose conversion would demonstrate their acceptance that Jesus has fulfilled their own biblical prophecies.”[21]
  • “No Jew accepts Jesus as the Messiah. When someone makes that faith commitment, they become Christian. It is not possible for someone to be both Christian and Jewish.”[22]

On the Jewish side, the accounts of Jewish rejection of Jesus are prominently featured in the Birkat haMinim of the Amidah and the Talmud. The Talmud indicates that Rabbi Gamaliel II directed Samuel ha-Katan to write another paragraph for the central Amidah-prayer, inveighing against (early Christian) informers and heretics, which was inserted as the twelfth paragraph in modern sequence (Birkat haMinim).[23]

On the Christian side, the accounts of Jewish rejection of Jesus are prominently featured in the New Testament, especially the Gospel of John. For example, in 7:1–9 Jesus moves around in Galilee but avoids Judea, because “the Jews/Judeans” were looking for a chance to kill him. In 10:20 many said ″he hath a devil, and is mad″. In 7:12–13 some said “he is a good man” whereas others said he deceives the people, but these were all “whispers”, no one would speak publicly for “fear of the Jews/Judeans”.

Jewish rejection is also recorded in 7:45–528:39–5910:22–42 and 12:36–43. 12:42 says many did believe, but they kept it private, for fear the Pharisees would exclude them from the Synagogue, see also Council of Jamnia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rejection_of_Jesus#

WHAT DID JESUS SAY TO THOSE WHO REJECTED HIM AS MESSIAH?

Luke 19:41-44 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

RELIGIOUS MAKE UP OF ISRAEL

98 percent of Jewish people in Israel are not Christian and do not believe in Christ. They do not believe Christ is the Messiah, nor that he brought the Holy Ghost, nor that he did away with the Old Testament system of worship in temples. They do not believe that Christ eliminated animal sacrifices by sacrificing himself as the Son of God, with his Holy blood.. They are still waiting for the ‘true’ Messiah….

“About eight-in-ten (81%) Israeli adults are Jewish, while the remainder are mostly ethnically Arab and religiously Muslim (14%), Christian (2%) or Druze (2%). https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2016/03/08/key-findings-religion-politics-israel/

What/who are Jewish people waiting for? Not JESUS CHRIST!

“Each Passover, a special cup of wine is filled and put on the seder table. During the Seder, the door of the house is opened and everyone stands to allow Elijah the Prophet (Eliyahu ha-Navi) to enter and drink. At every bris, a chair is also set aside for Elijah. At the conclusion of Shabbat, Jews sing about Elijah, hoping he will come “speedily, in our days…along with the Messiah, son of David, to redeem us.” https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/elijah#google_vignette

ROYAL BLOODLINE OF CHRIST; GENEOLOGY OF CHRIST AS THE MESSIAH GOES ALL THE WAY BACK TO ADAM AND EVE AND GOD

Jesus Christ is the Messiah and a Son of David as per the genealogical record, in the Bible, New Testament and the Old Testament/Torah

Wikipedia; “Luke’s genealogy of Jesus, from the Book of Kells, transcribed by Celtic monks c. 800

In the Gospel of Luke, the genealogy appears at the beginning of the public life of Jesus. This version is in ascending order from Joseph to Adam.[15] After telling of the baptism of Jesus, Luke 3:23–38 states, “Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was [the son] of Heli, …” (3:23) and continues on until “Adam, which was [the son] of God.” (3:38) The Greek text of Luke’s Gospel does not use the word “son” in the genealogy after “son of Joseph”. Robertson notes that, in the Greek, “Luke has the article tou repeating uiou (Son) except before Joseph”.[16]

Patrilineage in Matthew was traditionally illustrated by a Tree of Jesse showing the descent of Jesus from Jesse, father of King David.

CHRIST IS A TRUTH TELLER AND SATAN IS THE CHIEF TELLER OF LIES, ALONG WITH ALL THOSE THAT FOLLOW HIM

Scripture Reminds Us That God Is Patient – until He Isn’t

God showed great patience, even from the beginning of time. He was patient when Adam and Eve sinned. He removed them from the Garden of Eden for their sin, He covered their nakedness and shame, and He promised a savior would someday come (Genesis 3:15).

God was patient with the Patriarchs. He showed amazing patience with sinners in Noah’s day (1 Peter 3:20). He was patient with Abraham during his appalling lapses of faith (Genesis 20-21). He revealed His compassion, patience, love, and faithfulness to Moses (Exodus 34:6).

God was so patient with His people, Israel. He mercifully and repeatedly forgave and did not destroy them (Psalm 78:38).  He delayed His wrath, not killing them for their continuing rebellion and idolatry, for the sake of His praise (Isaiah 48:9) https://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-study/topical-studies/scripture-reminds-us-that-god-is-patient-until-he-isnt.html?

Eventually, God’s patience will run out, and the sand in the clock of time will be gone, and time will end, along with all life on the ‘old’ Earth.
